Krogers Will No Longer Double Coupons!

by cindy on February 1, 2013

I am sad to say I just heard the news that Kroger in my area will no longer double coupons.

I plan to do the best I can for me and my family. I have always focused on store meat, dairy, and produce specials along with meal planning and bulk cooking.  For those of you who have ever taken one of my classes know I teach this concept first. :)

They will regret it, There is no way the lower prices will offset double coupons. For me, I would do my non coupon grocery shopping and coupon deals at Kroger because of the fuel points. But with this new coupon change, its not only is going to turn away Us Couponers but I believe it will turn away the average shopper who uses coupons. Here in the Dayton area they have built a few of the Kroger Marketplaces so they have got bigger then they think they have, Walmart, Meijer and Target have better deals on alot of things then Kroger already, Meat is about the only thing they have better deals on, If Walmart would start doubling, and Meijer would start doubling more then two they would kill Kroger and force them to bring back doubles. This is also going to kill our smaller neighborhood kroger stores, I think another reason is here in Dayton we lost all of our cub foods stores which makes for less competetion. So in my opinion is if you own stock in kroger sell sell sell, cause I believe they are headed for a loss. They dont realize that the extreme couponers bring them more revenue then they think and will wish they never done this.

This is really Sad news, Kroger used to be my Favorite stores. I am Totally Boycotting them now for sure! FYI Kroger Gas makes Newer cars Engines Ping, many Mechanics have said this plus we’ve had that problem.

will Krogers in the Findlay, oh area stop doubling also? I feel very sad that they are no longer doubling, they will lose alot of business to Meijer for sure….

Since Kroger no longer doubles, I think I will take my ads for all the local stores to Walmart where they match prices and use my coupons there.

I believe March 1st.

Since this is happening, will you now go back to providing the Main St. Market, Marsh, and Remke/Biggs matchups since they double?

cindy February 4, 2013 at 7:13 pm

Hi Lisa, At this point I have decided not to add Marsh or Remke/Biggs coupon match-ups. This was a hard decision for me to make. I am a single mom and I love what I do but at the same time my boys need me and doing all those match-ups left my boys only seeing the back of my head. I have 2 coupon databases for my followers to use to look up coupons. My dream has always been to teach you guys how to find deals that work for your family’s needs. Thanks for following and your support. :)

The doubling at Kroger will seize March 1st. I’m not happy about the change either

Is this just for the Dayton area or all over?
