Frugal Meal Idea’s Week Of 6/13/11

Here is this weeks meal plan. It is based on this weeks sales and things you may have on hand from previous deals.

A Few Frugal tips:

  • Sometimes I use a little less meat than the recipe calls for.
  • Left overs make a great lunch.
  • Meal Size Portions. The more I make the more I eat.
  • Use recipes with like ingredients but taste different from each other.
  • Edit recipes based on the size of your family.
  • Use store sales to pick your side items.

The Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumpling recipe that you have listed, I make this all the time. I change it up sometimes too. I will add a can of cream of celery soup and a can of cream of chicken instead of 2 cans of cream of chicken. Sometimes I will use chicken tenders instead of chicken breast. And I will bake my biscuits in the oven.
