This Weeks Frugal Meal Plan 5/3/11

by cindy on May 3, 2011

Here is this weeks meal plan. It is based on this weeks sales and things you may have on hand from previous deals.

A Few Frugal tips:

  • Sometimes I use a little less meat than the recipe calls for.
  • Left overs make a great lunch.
  • Meal Size Portions. The more I make the more I eat.
  • Use recipes with like ingredients but taste different from each other.
  • Edit recipes based on the size of your family.
  • Use store sales to pick your side items.

Cindy, you are a very good person to put so much time into helping other like myself not only save money, but also save time! Thank you so much for all you do, and make sure the 8th, that you actually have someone else do something special for you ;)

Thank you for the recipes! I was very proud of myself today, I bought the pork chops and chicken legs at Meijers and came home and separated them out immediately into dinner size portions and froze them. This is a big accomplishment for me because I usually buy the smaller sizes because I hate touching raw meat! This is the recipe I use for my pork chops and they are fork tender and delicious.

I also throw in either 2 cut up sweet potatoes or a couple of cups of sliced carrots right on top and serve with a side of applesauce or apple slices depending on what I have on hand
