A Name For Male Couponista’s!

by cindy on March 31, 2011

I wanted to share this comment I just got from Tim.

“Cindy,

Thanks to your website, I have become a male couponista! (not really sure what the word is for a male couponista)

The vast majority of people using coupons seem to be women.  I think this is just wrong. :)   We guys have the right to save money as well. :)

I used to use a couple of coupons a months.  Now I use coupons EVERYWHERE!    Last night I shopped at the local Walmart and they had to call a manager because I had “too many” coupons.  In reality, I only had 52 coupons, ranging from $2-off to free item coupons, including many overages.

The manager seemed amused that a guy would use so many coupons., but she told the cashier to go ahead to scan all of my coupons.  My total was around $182.  After coupons, I only paid $27 + tax.    My personal best so far.(considering I’ve only gotten into couponing for about a month)

Anyway… thanks again for your website. It’s helped me a lot. :)

Tim”

Tim, I do have a name more fitting for male couponista’s.  Here it is ……………….. I call male couponers “Couponator’s” .  :) Great job shopping.

Learn To Be A Couponista!

by cindy on March 31, 2011

With gas prices on the rise and so many people wanting to cut monthly expenses, I have been getting lots of emails from people wanting to learn how to coupon like a pro. I decided I should re-post all my coupon 101 posts.

I’ve compiled a list of things I have blogged about to help everyone who has taken one of my classes, is about to take my class, or is new to couponing. If you have some time I would suggest that you spend some time reading and watching my videos. This will help you to get a grasp of what I talk about in my classes and help you to put it all together. I throw so much at you in a short amount of time that it can seem overwhelming. In order for you to save big, you will need to do some homework. Anyone can coupon like a pro, it just takes a little bit of effort. :)

I am booking classes now for Summer. If you would like to hold a Coupon 101 class, click here for more information.
