I love what I do. Its a dream come true. A big thanks to all my friends and family who have supported me along the way. This has been the biggest project I have ever done. Everyone should know how to get free toothpaste! Here is a clip from my last class.

A big thanks goes to Jami from Ortho Advantage for having me come and share couponing with their employee’s. I am looking forward to the next class. :)

Everyone asks me how I am able to spend so little at the store and still come up with meals. All I do is combine store sales, coupons, and bulk cooking. For some reason my mind just thinks this way. Here is an example of how I do it.

Buy 3 lbs. Ground Beef $1.49 lb. (On sale last week at my Kroger.) = $5.35

Buy (3) Gold Star Chili Seasonings $1.09 (On Sale at Kroger)
$.50/1 Gold Star Chili Seasoning 9/26/2010 SS Insert (exp 11/20/2010) (double to $1)
=$.27

Buy (2) Muir Glen Tomato Paste$.99 (on sale until 11-7-10)
-use (2) $.75 printable coupon here (double to $1)
=Free

Total Cost: $5.62

I followed the directions on the envelope and tripled the batch.  After it was done I divided it into 8 meal size portions.

  • Tip #1 : I always chill the chili before I divide it. The fat will get hard and rise to the top of the pot. It makes it so much easier to scoop it out.
  • Tip #2: It does not take much longer to go ahead a make a big batch instead of a small one. This will save time on busy nights.

Cost Break Down For a 3 Way:

  • Chili container = $.67 each
  • Ronzoni pasta Free  (Free after coupon at Meijer Last week. It was also free after coupon at Kroger a few weeks ago.)
  • Cheese $.17 ($.17 per block after sale and coupon at Meijer a few weeks ago. I stocked up at this price.)
  • Total Cost for Main Dish = $.84 or $.21 per serving.

Note: This was so good. My Kids thought we were at Gold Star!
