Aunt Millie’s bread/buns are buy 1 get 2 free, and I had two coupons! Great deal!!
Snyder’s pretzels are b1g1 free, I had several coupons!
Meijer also has select varities of Kellogs Cereal for $2.99 a box. When you buy 4 they take $4.00 off instantly at the register, making it $7.96 /4. and i have a coupon for $1/ 2 so it makes it 4 boxes of cereal for under $7.00!
Doe you know if the Kool-Aid FunFizz are also on sale for $1.00?
I also purchased the aunt Millie’s bread and use the three coupons in the paper from last week. It cost my $.19 for loaf of bread, package of hot dog buns, and pack of hamburger buns.
Thanks for all of the updates. I’m shopping later in the week so it’s good to know all the sales out there.
There is a coupon in this week’s paper 0.75/2 ragu sauce!
I went to Meijer(Middletown)this evening and they would only let me use 1 of my 0.55 aunt millies coupons on the b1g2f?
Erin,
Whenever I have that problem I explain to them that I do not actually have to “buy” the item. As long as I am getting the item I can use the coupon. I then explain to them that they get the money from the coupon so what’s their point in arguing? I can either use all 3 coupons and purchase these items here or take my business else where. I always explain that wen they turn in the coupons the coupon company sees that 3 items where bought and will pay the store back for all 3 coupons. The manufacturer does not care what the sale was. They are showing 3 items bought 3 coupons used.
they should have let you use all 3 coupons, however some cashiers or even managers do not understand coupons and therefore tend to make up their own rules
I had a similar problem a while back when Walgreens had a BOGO purex sale and I had BOGO coupons. The first Wags I went to let me use my bogo with a bogo sale without issue. The one across town threw a fit! I explained to the manager that a BOGO sale with BOGO coupon gave me 2 free items per coupon and he insisted I get 3. Pay for 1 get 2 free. I said no that is not correct. I also showed them my receipt from the other store and they said that store was wrong. He said the coupon says “BUY ONE GET ONE FREE” I said Yes and the store is buying the one I have to buy for the coupon and the coupon is buying the one I have to buy for the store. He said “so you want all this for free?!” I said yes that’s the whole point of my couopns. I told him it is not any different then me paying bc the coupon company will pay the store for the free one. I told him the manufacturer doesn’t give a crap about the sale they are seeing 2 products rang up and will pay for one while the store paid for the other. He gave in and let me have my deal, but walked away with a snobby attitude. Of course I called corp and reported the situation. Later in the week I ran into the Distric manager at the other Wags and explained what happened and he informed me that I was correct
Honestly, I think cashiers pull this crap bc they are jealous and can’t find the deals
I couldn’t find the peanut butter coupon. Did I miss it? Skippy.
rite aid and either cvs or walgreens are the only stores thats coupon policy actually states you can use a buy one get one free coupon with a buy one get one free deal. Other stores you do actually have to purchase an item to use a buy one get one free coupon. As far as using a coupon on a free item like the bread you are only allowed to use a coupon on the one you are buying. coupons are not
supposed to exceed the value of the item you are purchasing, if it is free then your coupon exceeds the value of the item. if its buy one get one free and your coupon states $1/2 and you have two items they have to take off the dollar as long as it doesnt exceed the value of both items combined.
anyway the sweet baby rays marinade is .99 also and we just got a .50 in the paper
kraft salad dressing is $2 and we just got $1/2 in the paper and the OYNO deal
is still going on. It rolls also.
kelloggs also has some cereals on sale for 2.50. frosted flakes, some bite size
mini wheats and fruit flavored mini wheats, raisin bran crunch.
birdseye steamfresh veggies are still $1 so use that .50 coupon.
lawrys seasoned salt is 1.11 and the garlic salt is 1.22 use .50 from paper.
snyders pretzels are 2.49 or 2.59 depending on the variety you want.
ortega guacamole or taco seasoning is .47 , black beans are .66, salsa is 1.50
taco shells are 1.34, taco sauce small bottle is 1.26 and larger is 1.59 and
the kit is 2.09.
cheese nips are 1.50 there is $1/2 crackers in the paper and $1/2 at meijermealbox.com
athenos feta cheese is 2.50 there was $1 in paper
To the Author,
I got my information about using coupons for each item you buy from the manufacturer itself. Kinda makes me wonder if that lady didn’t know or didn’t understand when I explained it to her and I was doing it wrong this whole time…. Not trying to give readers wrong advice. Just thought since the mft told me that it was correct
I would say every manufacturer could give you a different answer so go with store policy. I know rite aids coupon policy goes with what you learned, I know Krogers states
you cant use a coupon on a free item and you cant stack, I dont know what Meijers policy actually states but the meijer I shop at won;t let you use 2 coupons on a buy 1 get 1 free.
I have always stacked coupons at Kroger and noone ever has said anything to me, I only learned about not being able to stack from reading the coupon policy. I suppose I should give it up even though noone at the store has told me I couldnt do it.
I stack coupons at Meijer and have not been told I couldnt, I actually dont know their policy on this.
I do know different cashiers at the same store will let you do different things.
I used to accept coupons with middle of the month expiration dates until the
last day of the month because I didnt like that they expired in the middle of the month, but that was my own rule so other cashiers wouldnt have done that. i also would substitute if we were out of something for another brand and let you use your coupon on it because I hated writing rainchecks, but the other shift managers wouldnt do that. I dont know my point except for dont
feel bad for what you learned and past on, if you learn otherwise just dont pass on that information anymore.
there is a skippy peanut butter coupon at tablespoons.com
Some of the click here coupons are not on the sites, like the hot dogs & peanut butter.
I found them on the meijer mealbox page not the meijer mealbox generator page, but you had to print them one at a time.
John Morrell Q in 5/23 paper for add’l $1 off… making them $1 after mealbox and Man. Q.
7-UP/Dr. Pepper product 12pks $2.50 use $1/3 mealbox to make them $2.16/12pk
Abbey, The coupons are there when I first post about it. If it is a good deal they sometimes run out of prints. It would be almost impossiable for me to keep updating the blog when prints run out. I am sorry about that. That is why I tell you on a lot of coupon do not wait to print it. Also sometimes coupons are only available in certain zip code
Emily,
. Also have cashiers that won’t take a coupon that is higher than the item. Like shaving cream on sale for .99 taking off a $1 coupon. I have to tell them how to adjust the coupon to .99 and explain to the them that the mft will pay them back. Its one thing when they question things bc I am happy to help, but to be snobby is another. I had 8 alike coupons at Walmart last night and the cashier took them to the manager and the manager walked up, held my coupon up infront of me with other customers standing in line and loudly says “it states right here any reproduction of this coupon is fraud”! Ohhhhh talk about peeeed off!!! I told her that I have 2 computers at home and I can print 2 alike coupons from each computer and that particular coupon was available to 2 websites so I was able to print it 4 times from each computer giving me a total of 8 coupons and then showed her that each one had a different serial number. Then, I said “if you want to accuse me of stealing or using fraudulent coupons I will walk out those doors and leave all the s*** here! Then she says oh oh I wasn’t accusing you of anything. As I was leaving she came up to me with a stack of coupons that had been returned to the store bc they were copies and explained thats why she thought that. Well, thats fine, but not everyone uses illegal coupons and if you are going to jump to a conclusion you better know what your talking about. Then when I get to the door the door greeter asked for my receipt and searched my cart after they watched me PAY for all my stuff. No beeping nothing nope just wanted to search my cart. One of the many reasons I don’t shop at Walmart! Sorry for the long comment I was just trying to explain why I go by what the manufacturer says and not the store since mft is the one that pays the store back and half the time the store doesn’t know what they’re doing in the first place.
Sometimes store policy isn’t the way to go around here either. Where I live I have to carry their coupon policy with me to show them because they don’t even know what it states. Most of the say they’ve never seen it. Huge problem around here with cashiers not letting people use more than one coupon when it states “One per purchase”. They tell us we have to split up the trans. When they tell me that I explain to them that it means “one per item”. If it says “one per transaction” then I have to split it. Sometimes they say a transaction is a purchase and then I explain that no this is a purchase this is a purchase and this all together and paid for at once is a transaction. Then, usually they say again, but it says one per purchase and then I say correct and how many am I purchasing? If the coupon states one per purchase and I am purchasing 10 of that item I can use 10 coupons. That usually clears things up for them
I shop alot at Meijer and their coupon policy varies by region, however you can see their policy that applies to every store on their website. Mine will double coupons .50 or less up to 2 alike coupons per transaction and you can stack them with Meijer coupons. Cashiers at the Meijer here are very nice. Kroger’s states you can stack unless they changed it in the last few months.
Your Walmart trip sounds like my Target trip. I do agree with you that
most cashiers dont know their stores coupon policy.
Question, when I am talking about stacking, I mean using a buy 1 get 1 free coupon with another $1 off coupon on the one you are buying. Is this in
Meijers coupon policy? I do believe I read about a month ago this was in Krogers coupon policy that you cant do that, although I have never actually been told I couldnt.
Oh, I meant using a store coupon with a mft coupon
I use bogo coupons with another $1 off coupon. Only been questioned a few times and when I am I tell them that just because its “buy one get one” does not mean I can’t use a coupon on the other product I am paying for. The cashiers at CVS tell me that its fine to do that and obviously the store gets the money back or they wouldn’t do it. They told me you have to scan the $1 off coupon first then the bogo. Not sure what store policies are, but from what I’m told it is perfectly fine to do it. Like I said if it wasn’t they wouldn’t get paid back by the mft. I usually don’t ask question of a cashier since most of them don’t know anything anyway. I just hand them the coupons in the order I want scanned. Once in a while you get one that will look very closely at each one and try their hardest to find a reason not to take it. As far as bogo goes. You have to buy an item to get the other item free, but from what I have been told you can use a $1 off coupon on the one you are buying
