Thanks to Laura for leaving this great cereal deal in the comments.

Kroger Deal:

Wheaties Fuel cerealĀ  $1.99 ($4.49 reg. price)
-use $.75 printable here or in 2-21-1- SS insert
=$.99 a box.

Note: I have not paid over a $1 a box for cereal in 3 years. This is a stock up deal. My Kroger’s doubles coupons up to $1. My final prices reflect that.

Okay, I know for some of you beginners out there are going to think I am crazy for telling you this. Have you ever thought about purchasing extra coupons? I do this often with high dollar coupons when it is for an item I use all the time. The $3 Snuggle is a coupon I have bought in the past and I am planning on buying again.

Many of you are asking yourself, why would you do that? The reason is it will save me a lot money to do so. Instead of going out and purchasing 10 papers for one specific coupon like the $3 Snuggle coupon. I will purchase only that coupon. I will pay for someones time to clip and mail it to me. You see it is illegal to sell coupons but I can pay for someones time to clip them for me. LOL! I know it is crazy but it works. Most of the time I tell people not to spend more than 10% to 20% of the value of the coupon. That’s pretty much the going rate for coupons but with really high value ones you may have to pay out a little more. I will pay up to $.50 to $.75 for each Snuggle coupon. That’s a pretty good deal when you do the math.

Here is an example of why I would do this.

Family Dollar Deal:

Snuggle 70ct sheets $3
-use $3 in 3-28-10 SS insert
=Free

Meijer Deal:

Snuggle $3.88
-use $3 in 3-28-10 SS insert
=$.88

Note: Remember Target and Walmart Price match ads.

If I buy coupons for about $.50 each that puts my final cost at about $.50 to $1.38. This is still a great deal even after the cost of the coupon is added in. This is an item that has a regular retail price of about $4.50 to $5. I am saving $3 to $3.50 a box on something that I use everyday. I never want to pay full price for this stuff. I would rather have the extra money to spend on a nice pair of shoes or lunch with a friend. LOL!

For those of you who are considering doing this crazy idea also.

The two clipping serves I recommend are:

CouponDede.com
The Coupon Clippers

I also recommend:

ebay

(FYI if you go to ebay through Shop At Home you get 2% back)

*Note if you go the ebay route just make sure you have a reputable seller. There are people out there that sell fake coupons. Remember coupons are money and not everyone is on the up and up. I have purchased coupons through ebay and I have had no problems so far.

Have any of you ever purchased coupons this way before?
