I just got back from shopping the buy 10 get $5 off Kroger Mega Event. I was so excited with how I did. I took me about an hour to get all my coupons printed and clipped. It was definitely time well spent. I saved $156.28 after coupons and store sales!  My total OOP cost was $45.92. I also earned a $3 oyno catatlina coupon for purchasing 6 Old El Paso products. WooHoo!

I hope everyone is taking full advantage of this great sale. It is time to stock up on Mega Event items you use on a regular basis. Stock piling is key to lowering your grocery bill. I try to never pay full price for anything. Buy it when it is on sale and match it with a coupon when ever you can.

Note: All the coupons I used have been posted on this site at some time. For the complete list of Kroger deals click here. I have added a few more unadvertised deals.

I would love to here how you did.  How much did save? What was your total OOP cost?

Hi Cindy, I just took your class on Monday. I came home and told my husband all about it. We are brand new to couponing…Here is our Kroger savings for today. OOP 133.69, Total savings 112.18. We are still in the stage of “we are out of it and need it”. We are starting to work on the Budget and Stock pile list. We were still very excited about today’s 46% savings. Our previous trips to Kroger were usually 20-to 25% savings. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and caring about others saving money!!

Cindy
I notice on your receipt “bonus coupon”. Does your store double coupons ? I will have to do the mega event at Smiths and they do not double. :(

Can you do a couple of senarios, or tell us what you bought?
Thanks

i have seen this posted before but i had to ask how long is cheese good for when you freeze it?

cindy January 28, 2010 at 1:32 pm

Yes I will try to make a list of what I bought if that would help you. I do thing that everyone needs to decide what their family needs are. Do not buy items just because it is a good deal.

I keep mine 3 to 4 months. It may last longer but we just seem to go through a lot of cheese.

I also would like to know, how does/is the coupons from ex: cellfire, or any other online coupon loader, show up on your bill?? Are they directly under the product on reciept?? or under them with the scanned coupons??? Thanks, just trying to make sure things are working!

cindy January 28, 2010 at 10:22 pm

Rebecca, They are under the item listed. I have never checked to see my coupons on Kroger.com. I just load the eCoupons every month to my account.

MASHELLE January 28, 2010 at 11:49 pm

I noticed you had several of the same item with coupons that doubled for each. My Kroger will only double the first coupon per product type. They say that is the policy.

Thanks for the quick response and thanks for all the tips! I have been using Kroger and coupons, but never ecoupons from websites, and never thought of stockpiling stuff! I am now getting it together, already started a cleaning supply, bathroom products, and feminine product stock… Thanks for this FREE website! Rebecca Lanter
