For most new couponers going to blogs to learn how to save money with coupons can be very confusing if you do not know the lingo. Couponista’s really do have their own language. LOL! Many readers are confused when the see abbreviations like RR, ECB or BoGo. I remember when I first started couponing learning the lingo was the first thing I had to do. When I go to groups to teach a coupon class I always include a hand out with a list of common abbreviations used in the couponista world. Today lesson is learn the lingo.
Lesson 2 Learn the Lingo:
AC=After Coupon
AR=After Rebate
CAT or Catalina=coupon dispensed from register
ECB= CVS Extra Care Bucks
IP=Internet Printable Coupon
IVC=Walgreen’s Instant Value Coupon
MIR=Mail IN Rebate
MQ=Manufacturer Coupon
OOP= Out Of Pocket
OYNO=On Your Next Order
P&G=Proctor & Gamble Sunday Supplement Coupons
PEELIE=Coupon on Package you have to peel off
Q=Coupon
RC=Raincheck
RP=Red Plum Sunday Supplement Coupons
RR=Register Rewards Walgreen Store coupons
SCR=Rite Aid Single Check Rebate
SS=Smart Source Sunday Supplement Coupons
STACKING=Using more than one coupon for a item (a store Q with MQ or a BOGO Q with a $1.00 off Q)
TQ=Target Coupon
TYVM=Thank You Very Much
V=Valassis Sunday Supplement Coupons
WAG=Walgreens
WM=Walmart
WYB=When You Buy
YMMV=Your Mileage May Vary (what your store will allow you to do or if the product is in stock)

Can you explain what “rolling” means in the coupon world?
I will be working on a post or a vlog about this. But most of the time it refers to ECB, RR or Catalinas. For example: Using an ECB to pay for an item that gives you back an ECB. They do this over and over again. This is rolling. I will try to explain this better in a post. I hope this will help for now.
