I Heart Meijer!

by cindy on January 13, 2010

I wanted to share with you my first trip to Meijer this week. I have another trip planned I just need to round up a few more coupons. This is a great week to stock up at Meijer. If this photo does not convince you of the power of coupons ad a great sale nothing will. You have to look at coupons as money and stock up on items when the sales are good. Take a look at the photo and all the items in it. I will tell you how much I paid for every thing below the image. You are not going to believe it.

Total of $18.20 OOP.
-earned $8.50 in OYNO cat coupons. (I earned $3.50 for buying 5 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks and $5 for buying 5 bags of Kraft cheese.)
-saved $71.69!

* I will use that $8.50 on things I need like meat and produce. So, it is like I spent $9.70!

If I can do this anyone can. I try to do all the work for you and any deal I find about I share with all of you. My passion is helping you save money. I hope all of you were able to do the same thing at Meijer this week. If they are sold out of any of the deals I listed, do not forget to ask for a raincheck. The Meijer I went to was sold out of the Ronzoni Pasta.

April if you are reading this post way to go girl!

You will find all of the coupon match-ups for this weeks Meijer Ad here.

Even though the printables say “do no double” will Meijer double them automatically?

cindy January 13, 2010 at 9:52 pm

All of mine did. Any coupon that starts with a 5 should double. Now if you have a not so nice cashier YMMV. I had that happen a few weeks ago but that was the first time in 3 years it happened to me. Let me know what happens.

Cindy, you are a God-send to my family. I have saved sooo much money with your website. It allows me to continue to be a stay at home mom. I saved $68.89 at Meijer this week Whoo-HOO! And saved $21.00 at Kroger. For about 3 hours of work gathering coupons, I earned about $30.00 an hour! I love this website!! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to helping people save money.

I have been perplexed this week by the coupon doubling thing.
Some people have said to fold your coupon so only the first
bar code scans. I did 5 seperate orders this week and only one order
rang up correctly.for example I had 3 coupons 2 from the paper and one IP. The same bar code scanned because the numbers are the same on the receipt. On one order the coupons doubled and the other order they didn’t.
they were the .40 on steamers and .40 on fruit snacks.
But yes Meijer doubles coupons with their coupon policy on the back of their ad. Their coupon policy states manufacturer coupons up to .50 at my store,
it does not state any exceptions. Meijer is paying for the double not the
manufacturer so it doesn’t matter what the coupon says as far as do not
double or triple.

Cindy, you amaze me!! Great Job!!!

I went to Meijer tonight and did 5 transactions. Luckily my Meijer was prepared and very well stocked for this sale. I ended up with 20 boxes of fruit snacks, and they actually paid me $6. Just to let everyone know the automatic $4 off DOES NOT include fruit snacks so I was not able to use my .40 coupons. It only includes gushers, stickerz, fruit roll ups, and fruit by the foot.

I ran in to the same thing. I had read that people had been having problems so I tested it with my fruit snacks and warm delights. The problem IS the second barcode picking up instead of the first. I cancelled my order and scanned the coupons hiding the second bar code with my thumb and had no problems. Hope that helps.

Thanks Jenny for answering Emily’s question. I have been teaching and behind on following up on the questions.
