Okay, I know for some of you beginners out there are going to think I am crazy for telling you this. Have you ever thought about purchasing extra coupons? I do this often with high dollar coupons when it is for an item I use all the time. The $2.50 Finish/Electrasol is a coupon I have bought in the past and I am planning on buying again.
Many of you are asking yourself, why would you do that? The reason is it will save me a lot money to do so. Instead of going out and purchasing 10 papers for one specific coupon like the $2.50 Finish/Electrasol coupon. I will purchase only that coupon. I will pay for someones time to clip and mail it to me. You see it is illegal to sell coupons but I can pay for someones time to clip them for me. LOL! I know it is crazy but it works. Most of the time I tell people not to spend more than 10% to 20% of the value of the coupon. That’s pretty much the going rate for coupons but with really high value ones you may have to pay out a little more. I will pay up to $.50 for each Finish coupon. That’s a pretty good deal when you do the math.
Here is an example of why I would do this.
Meijer Deal:
$3.49 Finish Automatic Dishwasher Detergent
-use $2.50 1-3-10 SS insert
=$.99
If I buy coupons for about $.50 each that puts my final cost at about $1.49. This is still a great deal even after the cost of the coupon is added in. This is an item that has a regular retail price of about $4.50 to $5. I am saving $3 to $3.50 a box on something that I use everyday. I never want to pay full price for this stuff. I would rather have the extra money to spend on a nice pair of shoes or lunch with a friend. LOL!
For those of you who are considering doing this crazy idea also.
The two clipping serves I recommend are:
CouponDede.com
The Coupon Clippers
I also recommend:
(FYI if you go to ebay through Shop At Home you get 2% back)
*Note if you go the ebay route just make sure you have a reputable seller. There are people out there that sell fake coupons. Remember coupons are money and not everyone is on the up and up. I have purchased coupons through ebay and I have had no problems so far.
Have any of you ever purchased coupons this way before?

As soon as I heard the coupon was coming I bought 20 on ebay. I bought these last year and I still have 13 boxes left. I am buying them and doing the deal for my daughter. She kept buying boxes from me. LOL! I paid $7.00 for 20. I also bought 20 $.75 off Ronsoni pasta, and 10 $1.00 off Johnson baby products. I will be getting some great deals. I have bought coupons off Ebay many times and have never had a problem.
I can not find these coupons on the sites you provide, am I looking in the wrong area?
Thank you
Raeme
They are on ebay I just checked. I would go that route. I also prefer the buy it now option. You can get into a bidding war and over pay sometimes.
I am new to this whole coupon thing and I went on Ebay and bought 40 coupons for this product but I have ran into a problem and I am not sure what to do, hopefully you can help me. I went to purchase them at Walgreens and they were sold out so I asked about the rain checks and they could only give them to me for the 3.49 price and they said I wouldn’t be able to do the rebate of 1.50 which is why I was wanting to do this deal. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks,
Tammy
If it was me I would buy them at Drug Mart. The cost is $.74. Still a buy in my book. That is where I will be using my coupons.
I love this idea, but how do you know which ones are really going to be worth buying? If I am understanding from your video, do you compare these with the sales flyers, buy them, and hope they get in in time to use them before the sale ends?
