We make homemade pizza just about every Friday or Saturday night. So this week I decided to make-up some pizza sauce and freeze it. I have found that I can make my own much cheaper than buying the pre-made stuff in the jar. Instead of just making enough sauce for one or two pizza’s. It saves me so much time to make a big batch and divide it into containers to use later. Each container has enough sauce for two pizza’s.
I tripled the recipe and was able to divide it into 6 containers.

Total cost for Pizza sauce.
6 cans Tomato Sauce= $0 ( I got this free from a Walgreens sale and rebate last month.)
3 cans Tomato Paste=$.57 (Kroger sells Muir Glen tomato paste for $1.19. I used 3 $.75 coupons that were doubled to $1.) Coupons can be found in 2-8-09 SS expires 5-2-09.
Spices I already had on hand.
*The cost for me to make 2 pizza’s is usually under $5.

Here are the Great Deals I got this week.
Kroger : Total spent $34.87 Saved $43.81!
Meijer: Total spent $14.88 Saved $28.34!
Kmart (Super Doubles): Total Spent $9.78 Saved $43.80 (I also bought 2 12 packs of Mt Dew not in photo. I gave up soda so my DH has to take it to work. If it is in the house I will drink it. LOL!)
Walmart (I did a price match $3 Meijer price Walmart regular price is $3.50) Total spent $4.55 Saved $18!
CVS: Total spent $.81 (this was just the tax) Saved $30.44 Earned $10 ECB to use next week!
Walgreens: Total spent $1.20 Saved $7.09 (I also had my ink cartridge filled. I did my rebates for the month and will get $17.58 added to my Walgreens gift card. I use this to buy next months RR deals and rebate deals. I spend very little real money at Walgreens.
Grand Totals: Spent $66.09 Saved $171.48! I also earned $10 ECB and $17.58 in Walgreens rebates!
*I am over budget this week but I was $5 under budget last week. I only plan to buy a few things next week. I have $19 to spend next week lets see how much I can get for that $19. Be sure to check back next week for the details.
I use coupons at just the right time to save so much money. I will show you how you can also do this just follow this blog and I will teach you all I know.

I just wanted to let you know about a Great Deal and Fundraiser the new Chipotle in Springboro Ohio is doing.
Thursday April 23 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm only you can get a Burrito and a Drink for $5!
The best part is they are going to donate that money to the Springboro High Schools After-Prom committee.

I was really Happy with all the Great Deals this week. I am actually under my $40 budget. Here is what I was I purchased and what I paid at each store.
Kroger spent $20.16 Saved $43.84 I also earned $2 off my next order coupon cat coupons!
Meijer I spent $13.66 I saved $26.77 I did have to do 2 transactions. (Meijer will only double 2 alike coupons)
CVS 1st trip. I Spent $.54 OOP and saved $13.30. I used my $11 ECB from last week and $1 MQ to pay for this purchase. I earned $12 ECB! *I used a CVS raincheck for the Skintimate. (I bought a $.50 candy for my little guy or my total would have been only $.04. Sometimes you have to give in and keep them happy. LOL!)
CVS 2nd trip. Spent $1.56 OOP I saved $58.46. I used $20.23 MQ , $3 CVS coupon, $12 ECB The Purex was B1G1 Free this saved me $13.98 kids toothpaste B1G1 saved $2.99 Other sale prices saved me $6.26. I earned $10 in ECB to use for next weeks deals!
Walgreens Spent $0 OOP! Saved $9.51 (sorry no photo) I bought 2 bags Chex mix, 1 Soda, 1 Scunci. I used $1 MQ and $3.50 RR and $.64 Gift Card from ESR rebates. I earned $2 RR for next weeks deals!
Total spent for the week.

Grand Total=$35.92! Total Saved=$151.88!
